Despite difficulties of access both inside
the building and because of its location in a built-up area, the project
team removed and replaced all windows and patio doors and repointed the
building along with other works. |

Six storey modern apartment
building brick facades strengthened with brick ties, repointed, including
concrete and render repairs and protective coatings. Retiling and new

Old lintels removed and replaced
with prestressed clay lintels, new flashings and brickwork repair. Delaminating
render removed and brick ties installed. New render applied. Old timber
windows removed and new Duratec coated aluminium windows installed. Facades

The existing roof membrane,
which was spread over four distinct roof areas at different heights, had
reached its use-by date and needed upgrading. Casefile also presents

After waterblasting, the team
applied protective membrane coating to all concrete. then membraned a
flat level roof and replaced and painted missing and deteriorated metalwork.
They cleaned the roof area pathway, membraned the gutter and painted the
